I wake up yesterday to find a text from my best friend that says "Here's a challenge...you lose 20 pounds in 60 days and ill buy tix for a Dallas game"
Now I cant afford to go to Dallas but i do need to lose the weight and get back into shape since i was recently diagnosed with diabetes, so i let him know i accept the challenge, but not to worry about the Dallas tickets well figure out some other reward. He responds with "I already bought the tickets."
Starting stats: Ht: 70, wt: 205, Blood Sugar(BS) 174
In addition to these i should also mention that i suffer from chronic back pain having suffered a compression fracture in my L1 in 1988 after falling out of a CH-46 Helicopter from the height of 65 feet. Plus both my knees are shot from that fall and slamming one of them into a fire hydrant on a force march in the same year.
This is day two of my 60 days to Dallas. Yesterday i started limiting my calories and today I continue as well as start to exercise again. 30 minutes on an elliptical and 15 minutes of weights. A small protein drink and a supplement to curb my appetite.
This is going to be rough. I know i can do this for at least a week but then i get stressed out at work and start eating junk and lots of it. I wont even be hungry but psychologically i need to eat to feel better. That is the tough part.
Well i can only hope the supplement works and i can stay motivated to get to Dallas in 60 days.
Here goes everything...because i have everything to gain.
