It has actually been over 90 days since the challenge was given, however, at day 60 i had met my goal of 185 lbs.
It wasn't easy the last 30 days. I had not lost any weight for a couple of weeks and was getting frustrated with going to the gym 4 days a week and not seeing any gain (or loss as it were). But i struggled through and was eventually able to meet the goal.
Unfortunately, i was unable to go to Dallas. With the economy the way it is and the California Governor cutting my pay 15 percent again it just wasn't feasible. Also, my BF was working for a new employer and was unable to get the time off. Coincidentally, the day of the football game i learned, from my BF that the tickets never came! I guess it all works out for a reason...
Now it has been 90 days and last week i went off the deep end and at about 4 candy bars in one day. Not really good when you're a diabetic. I realized i cant be doing that and so i told myself i needed to get back on a regular diet.
Last week i pushed myself in the gym doing cardio and weights and then on off days i would stay home and work out with weights in the garage. I was able to jump start my weight loss and get down to 181. Man it feels good.
I went to the Kohl's in town and found a shirt that was a large. It looked nice and i bought it. I must say in all humility that when i wear the shirt i looked darn good. I haven't been able to wear a "Large" in about 10 years or more. I have even had several attractive women tell me that i looked really good. 2 were my age and one was 20. Nice!!!
All this i owe to my best friend for having the faith in me to get this done. Now all there is to do, is to get together for a guys trip. My though.....DisneyLand. He has never been and there are new rides that i haven't been on. I say... lets take the boys and stay at my moms house and spend two days at the park(s).
